Anything to do with Sonoba — a problem with the app, a question about your hours, a privacy request — goes to one address.

A person reads it. Normally a reply within two business days.

What Sonoba is

Sonoba is field-operations software for construction companies. Technicians clock in and out on a phone, attach photos to the work order they belong to, and keep working when there is no signal — records are written on the device and sync later. Hours are calculated against California wage rules, including the construction-specific provisions of IWC Wage Order 16, and a manager approves the result before it becomes pay.

Each construction company runs its own account. If you use Sonoba at work, your employer runs that account.

Getting help

If you are a technician

For anything about your own hours — a missing punch, a shift that looks wrong, a correction — start with your employer's office. They hold your time records and they are the only ones who can change them. Sonoba cannot edit a company's records on its own.

For the app itself — it will not open, a photo will not send, the clock-in button does nothing — email x@sonoba.io. Useful to include:

Do not send a password in an email. Nobody at Sonoba will ever ask you for one.

If you run a company on Sonoba

Account setup, employees, wage-rule questions, payroll export, billing — same address, x@sonoba.io. Say which company you are writing about.

Something offline

The app is built to keep working without a connection. Punches and photos are saved on the device and sent when the phone has signal again. A record marked as saved on the device is not a lost record — it has not synced yet. If something stays that way for more than a day on a phone that clearly has signal, that is worth an email.

Privacy requests

To see, correct or delete personal information Sonoba holds — including a copy of your own time records — ask your employer first, since they are the ones who hold it. If that does not resolve it, email x@sonoba.io with the name of the company you work for and what you are asking for, and we will route it and help them answer.

The privacy policy sets out what is collected, how long it is kept, and the California rights that apply — including the one exception worth knowing about, which is that wage records an employer is legally required to keep cannot be deleted on request.
